Question 1

What is an ATS, and why is my résumé being filtered out?

Accepted Answer

An ATS (applicant tracking system) is the software many companies use to manage applications, for example Personio, SAP SuccessFactors, Workday or Greenhouse. It reads your résumé and compares it with the job ad. If important terms are missing or the system can't read your layout, you end up far down the list – often before a person has seen your résumé.

Question 2

How is this different from ChatGPT?

Accepted Answer

ChatGPT writes text if you ask the right questions. Stellenfit is built for applications: it compares your résumé with the job ad, shows your match score and the missing keywords, and creates your résumé and cover letter directly in an ATS-safe template. No prompting, no reformatting.

Question 3

Will recruiters notice that AI helped?

Accepted Answer

Stellenfit doesn't invent anything. It works with your real positions and achievements and phrases them to fit the job. You see every change and can adjust it before you download. It stays your résumé, in your words.

Question 4

What happens to my résumé and my data?

Accepted Answer

We only use your résumé to create your application documents. We never pass your data on, and you can delete it at any time. You'll find the details in our privacy policy.

Question 5

Is there a subscription?

Accepted Answer

No. You start for free with one match score and one tailored résumé including a cover letter. After that, you can buy a pack of 10 or 25 résumés if you need it, paid once. Your credits never expire.

Question 6

Does it work without LinkedIn?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can also upload your résumé as a PDF. LinkedIn is just a shortcut so you don't have to type anything out.

Question 7

Which formats can I download?

Accepted Answer

You can download your résumé and cover letter as PDF and as DOCX. You can keep editing the DOCX in Word or Google Docs.

Question 8

Which professions and industries does Stellenfit work for?

Accepted Answer

Stellenfit works for every profession with a written job ad, from your first job to a leadership role, in German and English. The match score is always based on the requirements of the specific ad.
